Spiders homes

dear Liam and Caitlin

You are coming back to Wellington? It is very cold here but now I have a trampoline and you can get warm by jumping up and down. There are also lots of spiders homes in my garden. If you look at them early in the morning they are very clean. Then by nighttime they are all full of food and are dirty.

Trampy therapy

dear XinXin,

This is cool playing music on the tramp.

I am going to miss our music time when you go home to China for three months. I get so excited each day when it is about to happen. You should get your daddy to teach you shishong cooking and then you can cook me some next year.

Tramping

dear Matt,

Thankyou so much for putting up the trampoline. It is just so much fun. You saw I had music with XinXin on it and the yesterday I got to lie around with Eleanor and Julie. Mel will love it too when she comes home. We can all play on it together.

And it was real cool to visit your friends and sing 'Wind the Bobbin Up' even if they weren't as good on the words as me :)

lots of hugs

Osteopath observation

dear Grandma and Grandad

Today I went to see an osteopath. He looked at my bones and my muscles to see if they were normal or not. He also tested my reflexes.

Everything is normal and I have good symmetry and great flexibility.

The problem is the software doesn't communicate properly to the hardware.

He said lots of repetition will help- lots and lots of repetition.

Billy Boy

dear Billy

I am sorry you have hurt your leg. Your bandage looks very cool.

This morning I am going to see an osteopath to get some advice on how to use my legs better : )
It would be fun to have races with you but I have to learn to run properly first. Also I think my trampoline has arrived and when that is up, you can come and visit and we can do jumping together.

Bubbles and baths

dear Soi,

Thankyou for all the baths you give me and for sharing
your cell-phone vids. I hope you are having a really nice holiday and I get to see you again real soon.

It is still raining. Sometimes the sun pretends to come out but then it runs away again.

Matt is going to take me roller blading in the weekend. He used to play inline hockey and so maybe he will teach me that as well. If I can't stand up very well then the other Matt is going to help me as well.

Rain Rain the More it Rains

dear Fatima,

It just rains at my home. Every day it rains. This is my raincoat that I wear to school. I just have to get down the steps and then the taxi van will be waiting at the bottom. There is a driver and a student and his helper. From my home we go straight to school, down the hill and on the motorway, then off the motorway and round the streets past the government. I love catching the taxi. I come home in the taxi to but with a different driver. Both the drivers are very nice.
Is your studying very interesting? I don't have to study.

Beetle in Blue

dear Eleanor

We are going to have fun driving the new car. I had to go to New Plymouth to collect it. It took five hours to drive there and five hours to drive back but I stopped at McDonalds (twice) and had fish and chips at Opunake.
In New Plymouth I went to Pumpkin Patch and bought some sunglasses and a sundress for Fiji.
See you on Monday

Fiji here I come

dear Mel,

I am going to Fji!. I haven't been in such a big plane for a long time. I know mummy was meant to be coming to see you but this is going to be even more exciting for me. There will be a pool and kayaks and lots of food and running and sun. Briony is coming too. She is very happy because she will have finished her exams and then she gets to play with me. She has to get a passport first. I already have a passport.

Vespa in action

Dear Janet,

Thankyou for taking this video of mummy and me on Vespa. Thankyou Bill for extracting it. Those Sony people sure make it hard.

Vespa has been sitting in the garage while I have been on holiday but I am wanting to have a ride after school today. I think she must be very lonely in the garage.

Photos of the grapes

dear Matt,

I realised you might not be able to see the vine in the last photo. Here is a photo of the grapes.

The vine is very small and the grapes are very very small.

On a vine

dear Matt,

This might be our vineyard one day. Now there is just one and a half vines. The bigger one has little grapes on it you can hardly see. I had to sit up here on the frame bit so mummy could take photos. Otherwise I just try to help her all the time.

The pidgeon came and sat very low today on the apricot tree. It has eaten all the little leaves on the apricot tree, but it has also gotten very friendly and you can walk up quite close and take photos.

see you soon,

missing you too,

Townie Day

dear Sue,

School next week- yay!!! It is raining all the time on my holiday. But yesterday I went to town. Mummy and I took the car over on the boat and then drove to our friend Judy's place. She did our laundry for us as we don't have a washing machine on the island. While the laundry was being washed Mummy and I went to St. Lukes shopping mall. I was having lots of flakes and couldn't walk properly and so we got me a wheel chair. I don't have a photo. I was so so happy. All the time I am wanting a wheelchair like the other kids and I never get one. I sat in the wheel chair for over two hours and was wheel around like a princess. It was so cool.

My constitutional

dear Mel,

Thanks for the nice comments on my hair. It looked fine but then I keep ending up with this silly pigtail thingy sticking up on my head.

This photo is me dancing to Rocky Horror Picture Show. It has an M rating but that's okay.

The rain stopped and so I went for a walk. The person who packed my suitcase thought it would be summer and so I have all these trousers that don't reach the ground that I have to wear.

Tomorrow I am going shopping in town. Just to buy nice and useful things for the house.

Mad Hatters Tea Party

dear Eleanor,

Thankyou for the cup of tea the other day. Can't imagine how I got to be so stylish! And this is not me promoting this brand. Actually they are quite nice but not as much flavour as you would be dreaming off. Lots of butter and salt makes up for it.

My evening drink of choice. I get given a Lindauer small bottle of bubbles each night. I am not stupid. I know it has ginger beer in it- but I go along with it all the same.

Rooster Retirement Village

dear U. Zulfi,

This is where the roosters come to retire on the island. It is quite close to our home. When there is left over bread then I drive to this patch and give it to them. I am sitting on the car that we have rented from the airport. Sometimes roosters attack each other and make a loud squawking noise. It is quite scary if you are standing in the middle of them.
