It is very sad that you are so sick Carolyn. And so very sad your wedding had to be cancelled. Though we can all celebrate your love for each other without a wedding and it is most important you get well soon. Now that you are back from Timaru hospital and in Wellington, I will come and see you and cheer you up if I can.

Thankyou for having me stay at your new house. I am sorry I slept through the earthquake. I would have thought having the floor flow and the walls shake, so much fun.

It was great to see you again Lewanna and I am so glad you are still strong enough to pick me up. I don't let many people cuddle me but you are exceptional.

It is so exciting that Briony's coming back to Wellington this year to creatively write and have lots of fun with me.

Hi Julian,
The house is quiet now that you are not here. There are no cinamon rolls this morning, we are going to have brown bread instead :(
This morning I helped to wash the floors upstairs to get the bits that you missed. Not that anyone is complaining about the job you did. Of course. The bites I got from the jelly fish larvae are still really itchy. I hope they go away soon. Even though you wanted some too I am telling you that you are very lucky not to have any.

Cinamon Rolls

dear G. Stella,

Thankyou for the the pink T-shirt for Xmas. It looks great. There is a lot of baking going on in this house. These were made today and then covered in butter lemon icing. Yummy.

It has been raining the past few days but I still got to go swimming at LIttle Oneroa and the waves were way bigger than me. Very exciting. My boogie boarding is improving and so is my body surfing.

Visiting Joseph and spending time with Nathanial

dear Nathanial,
It was fun to see you again on Wednesday. I liked having lunch with you in the Sumo Salad restaurant. And also visiting Joseph's grave with you. Thankyou for letting me use your pushchair for Spotty WotWot. He was getting too tired to walk. Sorry for disturbing you in the car when you were trying to go to sleep. At least I kept you company for the following half hour when you were upset. I have never cried that much before.

Boogie Boarding

dear Julian, Sabian and Connor,

I am very excited about your coming here for next week. It will be a lot of fun for me and it means there will be a lot of icecream in the freezer. Already there are a lot of cakes here.

The builders came yesterday and found the source of the two leaks in the house. And they cut out the burnt patch that was beside the fireplace and fixed the gate on the deck. So our house is all ready and waiting for you. Oh, and mummy spent all day painting the dining room as well.
