Oasis

dear A. Tehzeeb,
I am having my first night at what is called 'respite care'. It is to give me a break from my parents. Yesterday I went to school with my trolley bag all packed. After school the taxi took me out past Porirua to my accomodation. It is a new home with grandparents Tom and Robyn there to look after all my needs. There is a trampoline and a computer. This time I am only staying one night but then most months I will be able to have sleepovers for two-three nights at a time. It is all very exciting.

p.s. this is me gardening. I get the scissors from the kitchen and put on the gumboots at the back door. Then I progress across the lawn.. very hard to do in such big boots and snip the flowers.

Black and White

dear Mel,
It was great to see you again today. It has been a while. Thanks for taking me down to the new park by the drama school.
I'm sorry for not keeping my iceblock on my stick :(
I forgot to tell you how much fun school is a the moment but I miss my friends from last year who are out at the new school buildings in NaeNae. I am making new friends and also I am the big girl in the class now and it is my responsibility to spray the big tables each morning. I am good at spraying. Not so good at wiping

Gymboree

dear Joni
This is to show you how cool these clothes are you bought me :) Thankyou.
Everything is going very fine here cept for there is lots of bad weather. Today I got to go horseriding at school because the sun came out. My swimming is getting very strong and so is my jumping on the trampoline. I have now learned a new communication tool; to take the persons hand and lead them to where you want to go or to what you want.

Canterbury Earthquake Day

dear Miguel,

Today we had to wear red and black to school to show our support for Canterbury, the province where Christchurch is. My daddy used to play rugby for Canterbury but his rugby clothes don't fit me. Besides he is in Oxford at the moment.

We had an earthquake in Wellington last night and also last week. I just slept through both of them, so I still don't know what an earthquake is.

Stocktaking

dear Mummy,

Thankyou for the photo of the 1/4 the clothes in grandad's shop. I don't think I could count all those. I am glad you are back home and finished counting but I wish that daddy was here too. My ear is hurting and I'm finding it hard to sleep. I hope I get better soon.

Pianoistas

dear Ross and Hope,

thankyou for coming round to play at my place. I hope you can come again soon. My mummy is away this week stocktaking

for my grandad. That means counting lots and lots of clothes and recording them on her computer.

I hope you don't know anyone in Christchurch. Luckily all our family are safe even if their houses are a bit messed up.

Accounting

dear Mel,
Thanyou for sending on the photos of my stint at Matt's office. It is very nice having your mother staying with me. Yesterday she made me come downstairs to show her how to do the cleaning. She took instruction very well. She has a nickname for me. 'Pebbles' She says I sound like Pebbles from the Flintstones. I have never seent the Flingstones, so I don't know if she is being nice or not.
See you this afternoon, and for dinner tonight.
lots of love

Multi-tasking

dear U. Jon,
Rachelle is living downstairs at the moment. She is Mel's mum. She and I work on our computers most evenings in the lounge. I also have been working during the day. At the same time I can give nourishment to my octopus. I received him at the BP Xmas party for our school. If you let him attach to the hose then water comes out of his tentacles which is fun. And then when he is resting I can give him care.
lots of love
Rosiepo
p.s. bet you are enjoying being back at school with all your kids.
