Outfitted courtesy of Phil Wood (my grandad)

Hi Ria,

thats nice that you read my blog :)

I miss you all during the day but I'm also enjoying my new class as well.

My teacher has made a new game for me on the interactive white board, where I click on my photo and then I have to virtually take a pen and draw along the road from my cartoon picture to the house. Then once I've done that I get to press on the letters of my name and they are spoken out loud and then I get to turn to a page with musical instruments on it. Each one I press makes the sound of that instrument. It is very exciting.

Dynamic Drumming

Hi Carolyn,

Last night I went to my first dynamic drumming workshop as a Star Jammer. I went to Johnsonville first to MacDonalds and then to the Community Centre. There were 6 Jammers and parents. I sat down nicely and just watched for ages to see how it all works. Then when it was time for a solo, I didn't really get what was happening and I had been asked to go first. However after a couple of other kids had done their solos, I entered enthusiastically into mine without even having to be asked :) Everybody clapped. And one father even said 'I thought this was a workshop for amateurs'.

Daddy took this photo of me last year.. and you and I know that I've done quite a lot of drumming.

hope you are well today and I see you this evening.

lots of love

Social Smoking

dear U. Jon,

thankyou for showing me how to do smoking. I had learned years ago from watching G. Stella and then Matt.. but it was good to remember again. This is me at Cable Bay Vineyard, waiting for Grandma, Grandad and Jenny to finish their wine tasting.

Happy Birthday Daddy

dear Daddy,

Happy 66th Birthday for yesterday. I love helping out in the garden with you and I love learning to boogie board. I do want to complain that I got made to walk 3km with Sabian. It was so tough and one km was up a hill. I know you think they just expect too much of me.

That was a yummy BBQ we had with the steaks and sausages. I wish I hadn't eaten so many cheerios before hand on pre-dinner. I would have had more room. Though I did notice there didn't seem to be a steak for me even though the boys had one.

love you lots

Thankyou for coming up here before Xmas to play with me. I love using headphones to listen to music on your laptop while you are working on it. I do like going on the Rosie Walk with you even if I protest at the time and I like helping with the painting and climbing ladders.
look forward to seeing you at the family party.. soon.

Icecream

dear Glenda and G. Stella,
It was nice to have you stay a few weeks ago. Yesterday we went to buy icecreams yesterday with one of our vouchers. It was so windy and cold. We sat down on the grass where the band was playing for the Maori party but then my icecream fell off the cone. I didn't worry, I just kept thrusting the cone at it till it stuck on again and I could pick it up and eat it.

Daddy came home!

dear Grandma and Grandad,

Daddy came home on the plane last night. I went to the airport to meet him but felt a little shy as he was away for more than two months. However when we got home I gave him a gin and tonic and we relaxed.

He will have to mow the lawn. You can see how long it is when I put my combi van down.

give Robbie a ball from me.

Digging to be done

dear Julie,

I get all sorts of opportunities at school to try out various occupations. I really like driving the diggers that are making the new school playground at the Intermediate school. They are having to smooth it all over so that the wheelchairs from my school can travel on it safely.

I'm doing well. Mummy is back from holiday and Daddy arrives back from his two months in the UK, tonight. I hope you are well.
