Another Rainy Day

Dear Grandad,

Thank you for the hat. I enjoy wearing it, though it is hard to keep on and rock at the same time. I can use the rocking horse if I am helped to climb on to it. Today I have been at Tonya's while mum took Aunty Jenny to the gym. Tonya gave me a glowing singing doll for my birthday which I play last thing at night and first thing in the morning- around about 5.30 or so.

Mum is trying to buy me more shoes that will go over my brace. I have an appointment for getting a new brace fitted, end of this month. Once the cast is made it takes another six weeks for the cast to arrive from the States. Love Rosie

Rainy Day

Hi Cass,
My mum was remembering today how you visited me in Paris and how your mom carried me on your back along the river and on the metro.

Thankyou very much for the birthday card which I can open and listen to. I love music.

This photo is of the cake mum made for my birthday afternoon tea at creche.

We went early to the airport this morning driving in the rain, to drop off my uncle. Eleanor came again to look after me and we went to her home and played with puppets and then went swimming. It is the beginning of the school holidays and the pool was crowded. A couple of seven year old girls played with me. They remembered me from other times I have visited and one boy with cool goggles let me chase him around the pool.

My Aunty Jenny is here visiting at home and she helped me hold the hammer to play with one of my toys. I am not very good at hammering and prefer just to push the balls through. This evening Uncle Richard and all his family came around for curries. I like naan bread. Love Rosie

Leaving Creche

Hi dad,

You are not home but on the other side of the world. Though I am not able to know this I have stopped looking for you everytime I go past the downstairs office door. Today was my last day at creche. I managed to flood the bathroom in my last ten minutes and mum arrived to find Amanda with a very large mop and bucket. I was soaking wet.

This afternoon I had music therapy but I was a little distracted. I did concede to say hello into the hello tube and I was decisive about what song or instrument I wanted to play. But after half an hour my new friend turned up (Elen)and I quickly waved goodbye to Carol as I really thought now was time to go out.

Elen and I went swimming and had a great time. She has agreed with mum to attend the next block of swimming lessons and I agreed to do some kicking in the water for her.

Jenny arrived today and I managed to escape from bed to spend time on the couch with her while mum was cooking spicy food for dinner. I also got given my birthday present from Tonya to play with - it lights up and plays songs- great for bed. Good night XX

Beachside

Hi dad, Today I went to creche but Katy was sick with flu. This afternoon Holly came to play and we played with a new playdoh set that mum had bought which had eyes and ears and hands to attach. Andrew is staying here and he played with me when he came home. I was able to hit the balls with the hammer, some of the time; am getting better at pushing the buttons on the turtle and I love using the bubble machine Sonja and my cousins gave me for my birthday.
